Willow Reeds - Remove the raffia band securing the reeds and place the reedsw rong end up ( wobbly bits at the bottom) into the oil. Leave them to soak for 30-45 minutes. carefully remove the reeds and turn the reeds the right way up (wobbly bits at the top) and re immerse them spreading the reeds evenly. Because the reedsa re untreated they can take a little longer to get to full strength
